Icela Lopez Gaspar- Icela Lopez has a master's degree in Education, and a bachelors in ELT. She has been working for the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in Mexicali for 23 years. Also, she has worked as an assessment teacher in the English Language Teaching Bachelor program where she teaches various subjects such as, Teaching Training, Teaching based in competences, Training for English Teachers Certification (TKT) and Educational Administration.

Preparing for the TKT


1. Reading:

The TKT Course Modules 1, 2 and 3, and you can supplement it by reading books, magazines, dictionaries, websites recommended in the Discovery activities section.

2. Reference:

Make regular use of reference materials such as dictionaries and grammar books when you prepare for your lessons.

3. Record-keeping:

Make notes about your lessons, what worked well and what would you do differently next time.

4. Reflection:

Is one stage of the classroom cycle: we Start by looking at what happens in the classroom (observation) and by collecting data, then we try to understand the data and decide (reflection) what we can do to improve the situation, and finally, we try out our plans (action) in the classroom.
